I was wrong about needing to move every month to be a real nomad
For two years, I forced myself to book a new city every 30 days, thinking that was the only way to do it. I was in Split, Croatia, and realized I had spent the whole final week just stressed about packing and finding my next spot, not enjoying where I was. I looked at my calendar and saw I had spent over $1,200 in the last year just on booking fees and last-minute travel changes. The moment that tipped me off was when a local cafe owner asked why I was always in a rush, and I had no good answer. Now I stay places for 3 months if I like them. Has anyone else found that slowing down actually made the lifestyle better?
