Hit $3,500 in monthly recurring income from my blog last month... never thought I'd get there

I started this stupid travel blog two years ago while couch surfing in Bangkok, just writing about cheap street food and hostels. Last month the affiliate links and a tiny newsletter actually crossed $3,500 recurring and I nearly choked on my pad thai. Has anyone else hit an income milestone that totally caught them off guard?

What specific affiliate link drives most of that recurring income for you?

The "boring" stuff is honestly what pays my bills every month. Been running a small site about fixing clogged drains for 3 years now. A basic $25 drain snake from Amazon through my link makes up about 60% of my affiliate income. @margaretk89, I think people chase the flashy high commission products and miss that everyday household items sell steady. It's like how the grocery store makes more on bread and milk than on the expensive wine. The mundane stuff people need to buy anyway, that's where the real money hides. Just a pattern I keep seeing in my own numbers and others who share theirs.
