I spent 2 years working from hostels and cafes in Chiang Mai, thinking I had it all figured out, until a guy at a coworking space told me my client work was sloppy because I never had a proper setup. He pointed out I was using a cracked laptop screen and noisy headphones for client calls, so I finally dropped $300 on a portable monitor and noise-canceling earbuds. Has anyone else gotten a blunt reality check that forced you to upgrade your gear?
Ugh I know right... that feeling when you hear that crunch and just know it's going to be an expensive fix. I had a similar moment with my old tablet last year, dropped it getting out of the car and the whole screen went rainbow on me. It's like the universe's way of saying you should have bought a case...
