Warning: Found a wedding ring inside a tractor tire
Had a farmer bring in a huge tractor tire with a slow leak last week. (Pretty normal job, you know?) When I'm digging around in there, my probe hits something hard and shiny - turns out it's a man's wedding band, all scratched up. The guy had no idea it was missing, and his wife was right there with him. So here's the thing: do I play it cool and just hand it over, or make a joke about finding 'hidden treasure' and maybe get a tip? (It felt a bit weird, like I was holding their marriage hostage or something.) I just gave it back straight away, no fuss. They were so happy, they brought me a pie the next day. Honestly, made my whole week.
