I finally replaced a 90s alarm clock radio and instantly regretted it

I had this old Sony Dream Machine from like 1994 that still worked perfectly. The thing woke me up with a gentle beep and never failed. Bought a new Bluetooth speaker with an alarm function for $45 at Target last week and the damn thing reset itself at 3am. Has anyone else had luck finding new alarm clocks that actually keep time without internet?

Oh man, that is SO frustrating! It's like everything new has to be "smart" and connected now, even when all you need is something that just works without trying to be clever.

It's like everything has to be "smart" now, right? The internet dependency is the worst part. I had the exact same thing happen with a "smart" alarm clock I bought last year, woke up at 3am to a reset and didn't trust it since.
