A friend at a swap meet told me my old CRT TV was setup wrong and it totally changed how I play retro games
I been collecting old consoles for a few years now and always just plugged them into whatever CRT I could find at a thrift store. Last month at a local swap meet in Portland this older guy named Rick looked at my setup and said 'you're putting composite cables into a monitor port, that's why everything looks fuzzy'. I had NO idea there were different kinds of inputs on these old TVs. Turns out my Trinitron has a component input I never used because the colors on the back were faded. Swapped the cables around and now my Super Nintendo games look crisp like I remember from 1992. Has anyone else found a simple cable change that made a huge difference in their retro setup?

Doubt it makes that big of a difference honestly, probably just placebo from messing with cables.
