The vet said my cat's 'model pose' was just a thyroid issue
Took Mr. Whiskers in for his goofy standing posture I thought was funny, turns out hyperthyroidism makes them look alert and posed. Anyone else's weird pet photo end up hiding a health thing?

Oh man, that's wild. I had a similar thing with my dog where I thought his constant head tilt was just a cute quirk for photos, but it turned out he had an ear infection that needed meds. Makes you wonder how many camera-ready poses are actually medical mysteries in disguise. Hope Mr. Whiskers is doing okay now.

Oh my gosh, that totally reminds me of my cat Oliver! He had this thing where he'd squint one eye whenever I held up my phone, and I thought he was just making a funny face. Turned out he had a tiny scratch on his cornea from wrestling with a houseplant, and some vet drops cleared it right up. Glad your pup's ear infection got sorted too, it's scary how easy those weird behaviors are to miss until they're actually something.
