My friend said glass mouse pads are just for looks, but after 2 months of using one I think she was half right.

She insisted they're too slippery for precise aiming and the noise drives you crazy, but I actually found the glide amazing for fast flick shots in Apex and the sound isn't that bad with a soft mouse, though cleaning fingerprints every 3 days is a real pain - has anyone else found a middle ground between glass and cloth that works?

my buddy actually switched to one of those hybrid pads after his glass one almost cost him a valorant match lol. he said the glide was too insane on glass, like his mouse would just keep sliding after he stopped moving. the soft edges on those hybrid pads helped him a bit but he still complains about the dust factor. he tried the hard plastic ones too but apparently those wear out fast and get all shiny in the middle. honestly i think cloth is still the sweet spot for most people unless you're really anal about speed. those glass pads look cool on stream though, i'll give em that.

Ever notice how this is exactly like trying to find the perfect coffee mug? You got the heavy ceramic ones that feel solid but chip easy, the plastic ones that last forever but taste weird, and the fancy double-walled glass that looks amazing but shatters if you look at it wrong. People obsess over gear these days (me included, guilty) but really it's all about what feels right for YOUR dumb hands and playing style. Cloth pads are like that old hoodie you refuse to throw away - not flashy but it just works.
