Update: I booked a month in Chiang Mai because everyone said it was the perfect nomad spot, but the constant coworking scene actually burned me out.

After two weeks of feeling pressured to network 24/7, I moved to a quiet town an hour away and finally got my project done, so has anyone else found they work better away from the 'hotspot' cities?

Totally get that. Felt the same in Lisbon last year. Do you think the pressure to always be "on" and productive in those places actually makes us less creative? Like, moving away forced you to focus, but was it just the quiet or also ditching the expectation to perform for other nomads?
