Tbh, I used to think a cheap hostel was the only way to start out
After 6 months of moving every few days, I saw my work output drop by half. Switching to a monthly apartment in Medellin for $500 let me actually focus and build a routine. Anyone else find that a stable base made a bigger difference than they expected?

My "creative process" on the road was mostly just losing my charger in three different countries. A real desk is a game changer.

Forget the charger, I lost a whole notebook in Lisbon. That was a year of ideas gone. A real desk means my pens stay in one place and my coffee doesn't end up on my passport. Some of us need to stop moving to actually make something.
