Shoutout to the cafe in Medellin that saved my work week after a total internet meltdown
Last Tuesday, my apartment's fiber line got cut during construction, leaving me with zero connection for 48 hours. I tried three different coworking spots, but they were all packed. Finally, I found this tiny place in Laureles with strong wifi, great coffee, and power outlets at every table. I ended up working there for two full days and actually got more done than usual. Has anyone else had a backup spot become their main office for a bit?

Isn't it funny how often our backup plans end up being better? I've seen this happen a lot, where a forced change of scenery, like @the_robert at the library, actually boosts focus. It makes me wonder if our usual spots just have too many built-in distractions. Getting stuck somewhere new can force a kind of reset that helps you power through work.

Totally. My local library saved me once.

Totally get that, @the_robert. Libraries are one of those quiet places that just work when nothing else does. There's something about the silence and the smell of books that forces you to actually sit down and focus. I've had days where I drove past three coffee shops just to get to the library because I knew I'd actually get stuff done there. It's like the whole vibe there tells your brain it's time to work. Glad that spot pulled through for you when you needed it.
