My friend in Lisbon told me to always book a place for a month first, not a week

I ignored her and booked a week in Split, then spent the next three weeks moving every few days while I looked for a long-term spot. Anyone else find that short-term bookings just create more work?

Went straight for the thing without reading the instructions first. Ngl that was about a year ago and I still have the scar to prove it. Honestly the worst part was explaining to the urgent care doctor what I was trying to accomplish. Tbh the whole 'learn from your mistakes' thing really hits different when you're sitting in a waiting room with a burned hand. Everyone talks about the science behind it but nobody mentions how dumb you feel when reality smacks you in the face.
