I just saw a number about Chiang Mai's internet speed that made me double check my own

I was looking at a report from Nomad List yesterday that said the average upload speed in Chiang Mai is only 12 Mbps. I've been working from here for two months and never checked, just assumed it was fine. Ran a test and mine was 9. I do a lot of video calls and file transfers, so this explains some recent lag. Has anyone else had to switch providers or use a specific cafe to get decent uploads here?

Is that the average for the whole city? I read that a lot of the older condo buildings here still have pretty basic lines. Maybe you could ask your building manager if they offer any faster plans.

I read a Nomad List post where someone said they get 20 Mbps uploads at The Baristro.
