Finding a decent place to work online in Thailand was simple five years ago. Now it's a fight for a table and a plug.

Man that walk of shame to the 7-11 hits hard. The vibe has totally shifted from chill to competitive. It sucks when you waste half your morning just looking for a place to sit down and get started. Feels like the golden age of just rolling into any cafe is long gone.

Yeah, that "fight for a table and a plug" line is so true. I read a blog post recently that said the big change is cafes getting wise to it. They used to be cool with you camping all day over one coffee. Now a lot of them have official rules, like two-hour limits or power strips only at certain tables. It feels like the whole easygoing setup that made Thailand great for this is fading. You have to plan your day around hunting for a spot instead of just wandering in somewhere.

In Bangkok, I once circled a cafe for 30 minutes waiting for a plug. My productivity that day was just the walk of shame to a 7-11.
