Coffee shop wifi nightmare in medellin

I was in El Poblado last week working from a busy cafe when the internet just died mid call with a client. The owner said it would be back in 10 minutes but after an hour I had to pack up and run to a coworking space about 8 blocks away. Lost the client for that project because they thought I was unreliable. Has anyone else had a wifi failure cost them real money while abroad?

Real professional look" is exactly right though... maybe the client dodged a bullet if you're relying on cafe wifi for million-dollar deals instead of getting a proper setup with backups.

Lost about two grand once in Buenos Aires because the cafe wifi died right when I was submitting a proposal deadline. Did a full sprint six blocks to a Starbucks with my laptop under my arm like a football, only to realize I left my charger back at the dead cafe. Had to beg a stranger for their spare, real professional look.
