Picked a $4,200 mini skid over a used tow-behind for residential grading, and I'm second guessing it
Doing small residential grade work around Greensboro. Needed something that fits through a 36 inch gate. The tow-behind was half the price but I'd need a second truck most days.
Went with the mini skid. Three weeks in and it's great in tight yards but the track marks on wet turf got me a call from a homeowner on Tuesday. She wants sod replaced.
The tow-behind would've torn up less. But loading and unloading it solo was a nightmare on my test run.
Anybody running one of these in soft lawns? Do different tracks actually help or is that just sales talk?
