Paid $900 for a job scope printout and it tore up my bid

I dropped 900 bucks on a detailed scope of work package from a local estimating service in Cleveland. Thought it would help me nail down a commercial resto bid, but the thing was full of generic boilerplate. It missed the real site conditions like the load bearing wall that needed a temp shoring plan. I had to redo the whole bid myself and eat the cost. Anyone else paid for estimating help and got burned worse than the ticket price?

Did you try hitting them up for a refund since their own scope missed a load bearing wall? That's not a small detail, that's like the whole reason you pay for a scope in the first place. Honestly sounds like they just copy pasted from an old project and hoped you wouldn't catch it.
