My plumber buddy in Denver insisted I use a 3/4 inch main line for the addition, not 1/2 inch.

I went with the 1/2 inch to save money and now the pressure drop is so bad the new shower barely works. Anyone have a good fix for this without redoing all the plumbing?

Classic case of ignoring the guy who does this for a living, lmao. You basically built a fancy water bottleneck. A booster pump might help, but you're fighting physics with that tiny pipe.

Yeah the "fancy water bottleneck" is so true. I tried something similar with my garden hose and just ended up with a sad trickle. You can't argue with pipe size.
