My old boss swore by charging by the hour, not the project
He said flat rates always screw you on unexpected issues, and after I underbid a kitchen reno by $2,000 in Akron last spring, I finally get why he was so adamant. Has anyone else switched back to hourly after getting burned on a fixed price?
