My HVAC guy in Boise told me to stop bidding jobs off photos, and it cost me $1,200 to get it
Last week I sent a bid on a bathroom remodel in Meridian based on 4 phone pics, and the homeowner's son, Derek, asked me if I'd actually looked behind the shower wall. I said no, and he pulled up a video on his phone showing rot and old galvanized pipe running right where I'd quoted tile only. I ate $1,200 in change orders because my number was already signed, and Derek just shrugged and said "pictures lie, drywall doesn't." How many of you guys still bid off photos, or do you make everyone do a walkthrough first?
