Had a compressor go down on me at a job in Mesa three weeks ago, right in the middle of hanging two exterior doors. The pressure just bled off and I could hear air hissing somewhere behind the tank. Turned out the cheap brass fitting on the drain valve had cracked, not the pump itself. I lost about 90 minutes driving to get a replacement and bleeding the tank. The real kicker is I had a spare fitting in the truck the whole time and forgot about it. Now I check that drain valve every Monday morning before I even start up. What do you guys keep on the truck that you always forget you have?
