Lost a full day's pay on a 'simple' drywall patch that turned into a mold hunt

Client said it was just a small leak, but the whole wall behind it was black. Anyone else had a quote blow up like that?

Oh man, that's the worst. I had a "quick" sink swap last month that found a rotten floor joist. What they see is never the whole story.

My last quote in Portland had a $500 mold clause after a similar surprise. Always add that line now.
