Just hit 200 completed bathroom remodels and it messed with my head

I was going through my old job folders last night and counted 200 bathroom remodels over 8 years. Didn't realize I had done that many until I actually added them up. Got me thinking about all the tile patterns and waterproofing mistakes I made in the first 50. Anyone else ever track a specific number of jobs and get surprised by it?

Counting jobs like that doesn't mean much if you're not also tracking callbacks or failures. Maybe those first 50 taught you something, but 200 remodels with no quality metric is just a number.

That part about "waterproofing mistakes in the first 50" really hit home for me. I remember my third bathroom job I thought I had the shower pan done perfect, then a month later the homeowner called saying water was pooling under the tile. Had to rip out the whole floor and redo it, learned my lesson about pre-sloping the hard way. Funny how you don't realize how many you've done until you actually stop and count them, my record book from 2016 is just embarrassing to look at now.
