Hot take: I labeled my miter saw blades with paint marker and now I feel like a genius
I got tired of guessing which blade was which after 3 years of just grabbing whatever was closest, so I put a red dot on the 60-tooth finish blade and a blue dot on the 24-tooth ripper, and last week on a deck job in Tulsa a helper grabbed the right one without asking me once, which has never happened before, so now I'm wondering what else in my trailer deserves a dot.
I did the same thing but with colored electrical tape on my drill bits, and my wife still asked me which one was for wood. Give it a week and your helper will be dotting everything in sight, probably your lunch box too. Just wait until someone borrows a blade and brings it back with the wrong color on it, then the whole system falls apart.
