Got tired of chasing subs for change orders, so I put a QR code on my invoices and got paid in 2 days
So I do small remodels and decks around Fort Worth and I swear half my job is not building stuff, it is hunting down money. I had $4,300 sitting out there across three different clients back in March and I was making 20 phone calls a week like a bill collector. Then my nephew showed me how to slap a pay link QR code on the bottom of my invoice, takes like 5 minutes to set up. First job I tried it on, a bathroom tile job, the guy scanned it in his truck and the money hit my account before I even packed up my wet saw. I could not believe it. Now I put that code on every invoice and I also text it to them the day I finish, and my average wait went from almost 3 weeks down to about 2 days. The weird part is older clients use it more than the young ones, they think it is fancy. One lady even said it felt like paying at the drive thru. If you are still mailing paper invoices you are losing days of your life for no reason. Does anybody here use something like this or do you all just eat the wait?
