Appreciation post: I saw a client's backyard go from a mud pit to a legit oasis in like 8 weeks

I'm doing a fence for this guy in the suburbs, and when I started the yard was just a total swamp from all the rain. I came back last week to finish the gate and the whole thing is grass, a little stone path, and even a small pond. He said he just got a sprinkler system put in and seeded it every other day. The before and after is wild. Has anyone else had a client's project just completely transform the vibe of a place that fast?

That kind of fast change shows how much water management can do. A good drainage fix and consistent watering can make a dead zone recover way faster than people expect. It's not just about the plants, it's fixing the base problem first.

You ever seen a yard go from a mud pit to something you'd actually sit in? Buddy of mine had a corner of his lot that was basically a swamp for two years after he built a shed. He finally dug a trench, put in a perforated pipe, and laid down some gravel. Three months later you couldn't even tell it was ever wet, the grass was so thick you'd lose a shoe in it. Crazy what a little slope and some elbow grease will do.

Legit oasis" is a bit much for some grass and a pond...
