Old butcher told me to stop washing my boards with soap
Guy's been cutting since the 70s. Said soap ruins the season. Just scrape and salt. Been doing it for two weeks now. My board looks better. Anyone else ditch the soap?

You had me worried at first but honestly salt and a good scrape keeps my board in way better shape than soap ever did. How long you been doing it?

@abby_scott salt can scratch the finish though, not just gunk.
