My $900 grinder upgrade turned into a $200 lesson about airflow

Bought a fancy 3/4 HP grinder thinking it would fix my coarse grind problems for good. First two weeks it worked great, then it started overheating on every batch, right in the middle of a Saturday rush. Turns out I never checked the intake vents, they were completely clogged with fat dust from my old setup. The repair guy charged me $200 just to clean it out and show me how to blow it down weekly. Anyone else run into a machine that hides its real problem behind a fancy price tag?
