Finally got my break saw alignment right after 6 years in the shop

Used to just eye-ball it and hope for the best when breaking down primals. Wasted so much meat especially on ribeyes. Switched to a laser guide setup from a Bassomatic 460 last month and holy crap the difference is night and day. Anyone else fight with saw alignment more than they'd like to admit?

Wait, isn't the Bassomatic 460 a meat tenderizer, not a saw guide setup? I thought that was a whole different piece of gear.

Wait, "finally got my break saw alignment right" - did you actually mean the laser guide setup, or did you just swap out the whole saw for something different? Because I've been through three different alignment methods over the years and none of them fixed the waste on ribeyes like you mentioned. That curvy bone on a bone-in ribeye always throws my cuts off by at least a quarter inch if I'm not careful. What kind of primal were you cutting when you noticed the biggest difference with the laser?
