Walked into Aldi on a Tuesday and saw a whole family eating rotisserie chicken in the checkout line like it was a picnic

Am I the only one who thinks eating hot food before paying is a weird flex for a budget store, or is this actually normal and I'm just being uptight?

Peeped this at my local Aldi last week. Some guy was tearing into a baguette while his kid polished off a yogurt cup. Manager just shrugged at them. I get it, you're hungry, but paying first feels like basic respect for the store. It's not a food court, it's a checkout line.

Kevin, that is exactly the kind of thing I used to see all the time at our Aldi. A mom let her little boy eat a whole bag of grapes while they stood in line, and when I said something she snapped at me that he was "hangry." It's just weird, like we all agree waiting ten minutes is the normal thing to do, but some people decide they're above it.
