That $3 bag of dried beans changed my grocery bill big time
I used to always buy canned beans because I thought dried ones were too much work. Last month I finally tried a bag of dried black beans from Aldi for 3 bucks. After soaking overnight and cooking for an hour, I got the same amount as three cans which would have cost me 9 bucks. The texture was way better too, and I just threw them in my slow cooker with some salt and garlic. Has anyone else had that moment where you realize you've been wasting money on the convenient version?

bro same exact thing happened to me with pinto beans from walmart. i was buying cans for this chili recipe i make all the time and one week i ran out and grabbed a bag of dried ones out of desperation. now i feel like such a clown for spending more on canned ones all those years. the dried ones hold up way better in soups and stuff too instead of turning into mush. i swear my slow cooker meals taste 10x better now and im spending like half as much on groceries. its honestly one of those things where once you do it you cant go back to the old way.
