Stopped at that old diner on Route 9 and noticed the prices still say $4.99 for a burger

I was driving through Millville last weekend and swung by the diner I used to hit up in high school. The place looks the same, same cracked vinyl seats and that jukebox that plays the same 20 songs. But what got me was the menu board still has a burger listed at $4.99 from like 15 years ago. The actual price now is $11.50 after tax. The owner said he just never bothered to change the sign cause it reminds people of cheaper times. I sat there eating my $11.50 burger and it tasted just as good as back then but honestly felt different. You could get a full meal with fries and a shake for under $10 back then. Has anyone else noticed old menus or price signs at places you used to go to that just never got updated?

Isn't that just a sign of the times?
