Spent $12 on a cheap rice cooker, now my stove barely gets used
I always thought rice cookers were a waste of counter space... until my neighbor let me borrow hers for a week. That $12 model from the Asian market cooked perfect rice every time, no watching the pot or burning the bottom. Now I use it for oatmeal, steamed veggies, even hard boiled eggs... saves me on gas since I'm not running the stove for 30 minutes. The first batch of brown rice came out fluffy instead of crunchy like my old pot method. Anyone else find a random cheap gadget that quietly changed their whole meal routine?
