My neighbor's comment about her 'fridge soup' changed my whole grocery game
I was chatting with Linda from down the hall about how my food budget felt tight, and she said, 'I just make a big pot of fridge soup every Friday with whatever's left.' She showed me her pot from last week, which had a bit of chicken, some wilting celery, a single carrot, and a can of beans she got for 79 cents. It hit different because I always thought I needed a full recipe and fresh stuff. How do you guys use up those little bits before they go bad?

Oh man, I do the same thing with a weekly "clean-out-the-veggie-drawer" stir fry!

Wait, you have veggies left to clean out? Every week? My drawer is just a science experiment by Wednesday. I buy all these good plans then life happens. You must actually cook at home like a real adult. That's impressive. I'm over here with a bag of sad carrots and some very soft celery.
