Just realized the real money saver at the store is the clearance meat bin, not coupons
I keep seeing folks in this community plan their whole grocery run around coupon apps and cash back, and I think they are missing the easy win. Every Tuesday around 7am at the Food Lion over on Graham Rd, the butcher marks down ground beef and chicken thighs by 30 to 50 percent because the sell by date is that day. I got 4 pounds of thighs for $6.80 there two Tuesdays back and froze most of it, which beats every coupon stack I have tried. So which side are you on: hunting manager specials at the meat case, or sticking to coupons and store brands? I want to know if the markdown timing is different at other chains near you.
