I was a frozen veggie snob until the 89 cent bag of mixed peas and carrots

I used to think frozen veggies were mushy trash and always spent extra on fresh for my stir fries. Last month I grabbed a store brand bag on a tight week and actually liked how they held up in the pan, way better than the wilted stuff I'd been buying. Anyone else made the switch or am I late to this party?

Three bucks for a bag of frozen veggies and suddenly I'm a wok master, meanwhile the $12 organic stuff sits in my crisper like a museum piece. The frozen ones actually hold their crunch too, probably because they got frozen at peak whatever instead of sitting in a truck for a week. I've started telling people my secret is "time-travel vegetables" and honestly that's less weird than admitting I'm cheap.
