Rant: Switched from gas to charcoal last summer and I'm never going back
Used a gas grill for 10 years. Fast and easy. But the flavor was always just... okay. Tried a Weber kettle on a whim, cheap one for $60. That first brisket had a smoke ring that made me question everything. Anyone else make the switch and regret not doing it sooner?

That first smoke ring really does hit different. I remember buying a cheap offset smoker on clearance and spending six hours watching YouTube videos about the minion method before even lighting it. Now I've got three different grills in the backyard and the neighbors all call me the smoke guy.
