Bought a $40 wireless temp probe and it glitched out on my brisket mid-cook

Oh man, that's rough! But I gotta say, $40 for a wireless temp probe is kinda on the cheap end for those things. The good ones usually run closer to $80 or $100. I've learned the hard way that the really budget ones can lose connection or give you false readings when the meat gets all greasy or when you close the smoker lid. My buddy had one that would just randomly disconnect right when his pork butt was about to hit 203, which is a nightmare lol.

Did you try reaching out to the company about that disconnect issue, @roseb62? I feel like that's something they should know about, especially at that price point. That 203 moment sounds like a total bummer, man.
