Vent: That time my clipper blade heated up mid-fade on a kid in June
I was cutting hair at my shop in Phoenix last summer, right around 2 PM when the AC could barely keep up. I was doing a number 2 blend on this 8 year old boy, and about halfway through the fade section my clipper blade got so hot it actually made him flinch. I had to stop, ice down the blade for 5 minutes, and finish with a backup clipper I usually only use for dry cuts. Has anyone else had a blade overheat like that on a busy afternoon?

Honestly I used to think blades could handle anything until I had one squeal on me mid-cut too.

Eh, "could handle anything" is a bit optimistic. A squeal just means you were pushing it too hard or the steel was cheap in the first place lol.
