Unpopular opinion: that $300 clipper ain't worth it for most of us

I dropped $280 on a cordless Magic Clip last year cause everyone swore it was the endgame. Thing started flickering after 4 months and the battery life is trash now. Anyone else feel like mid-range clippers at $120 do the same job for way less headache?

Yeah I read somewhere that Wahl has been having more quality control issues since they moved some production overseas. A buddy of mine bought the same clipper I did for $100 less and his works fine while mine started acting up. It's a gamble honestly, sometimes you pay for the name and still get a lemon.

Oh man, I gotta say you're not totally wrong but that flickering issue sounds like you got a dud. I've had my Magic Clip for over a year and it's still going strong, no flickering at all. The battery life does drop after a while but that happens with every cordless clipper, not just the expensive ones. I think you might have just gotten a bad unit from the factory, which sucks but it's not really a fair knock on the whole line.
