Took me three hours to fix a simple fade line yesterday
A guy came in wanting a really low, soft fade, but I kept getting a harsh line right above his temple. I must have gone over it with my clippers and trimmers a dozen times, blending it out only for it to show up again. Finally, my buddy in the next chair said to try thinning shears on the line itself instead of more clipper work. That did the trick, but I lost a big chunk of my afternoon on one spot. What's your go-to move when a line just won't disappear?

Honestly, I just go back to the open guard. Why fight the line when you can erase it?

Oh man, this reminds me of my friend Jake. He was so stuck trying to get past this one guy's tight guard, kept forcing it. Then one day he just sat back, let the guy come to him, and swept him easy. Total lightbulb moment. He said it was like the fight just opened up for him.
