Talked to an old barber who's been cutting since the 70s. He told me I'm overthinking bald fades.

Old barbers have been doing this since bell bottoms were cool, so he's probably seen enough haircut anxiety to fill a salon. Fades aren't brain surgery (unless you're cutting into someone's skull, which I hope nobody's doing). Maybe just let the guy with 50 years of experience tell you what works and move on with your day.

Yeah I read somewhere that experienced barbers can usually tell what'll work just by looking at someone's head shape. So honestly, trusting the guy who's been cutting hair since the 70s is probably the smartest move here.
