Switched from clipper oil to spray lubricant after 10 years

I was a die-hard clipper oil guy but got tired of the mess. Tried Wahl spray on a whim last month and my blades run way cooler now. Anyone else make the switch and regret it or stick with it?

You ever actually measure the blade temps with both, or is it just a feel thing? I gave spray a solid month and went straight back to oil... my blades started chattering way too much on the second week with spray. The cooling is nice but I found the spray just doesn't get deep enough into the pivot points, so you get heat buildup in the moving parts instead of the blade itself.

Chattering way too much" is doing a lot of heavy lifting here. Are we talking a noticeable vibration or just the normal sound of cutting wood? I ran spray for like 6 months straight on my miter saw and never had that issue. Maybe your tool just doesn't like it. But honestly, if you're cutting enough that blade temps and pivot points are something you're actively tracking, you might be overthinking a 15 minute job.
