Spent years hating on texture powder, now I use it every day

I always thought texture powder was a gimmick for barbers who couldn't blend properly. Then I tried it on a client with super fine hair last Tuesday and it saved me 15 minutes of fading. Has anyone else had a product flip their whole routine around?

Yeah but how do you get past the part where it feels like you're admitting every barber you respected was wrong? I spent four years telling apprentices texture powder was just fancy cornstarch. Now I got a bottle in my apron and another in my truck. Feels like I'm a hypocrite but the results don't lie.

Started noticing the same thing with tools I used to swear off... turns out half the time it was just me being stubborn about changing my process. Once you let go of that "real barbers do it this way" mindset, everything gets easier. Funny how pride can hold you back from stuff that actually works better.
