Question about fading a bad haircut line, took me 3 tries and 90 minutes
Had a walk-in on Friday who wanted me to fix a taper line another shop left too high on his left side. I kept chasing the line up with the trimmer and made it worse, ended up redoing the whole side twice before I got it blended. Whole cut took 90 minutes instead of my usual 30. Do you all go up a guard size and fade down, or just grab the clipper-over-comb when the line is already set too high?
Ninety minutes on one cut is wild, I would have lost my mind. Chasing a line up higher never works, you just keep making the bad spot bigger and bigger. Once that line is set too high you gotta drop your guard and fade down into it slow, not fight it with the trimmer.
