Pro tip: stop running the clippers cold on a first cut, warm them up first
Had a walk-in on Saturday morning at my shop in Dayton, and I ran the clippers straight off the hook on a guy with thick hair, and they dragged and pulled the whole first pass. Turned out the blades were cold and the oil had gummed up overnight, so I started running them dry for about 10 seconds before touching a head and the drag quit completely. I know a lot of guys just grab and go when the shop is busy, but the blade temp really does change how it bites. Anyone else warm their clippers up first thing, or am I overthinking this?
