Old barber told me to stop using thinning shears on dry hair
A guy named Sal who's been cutting since 1982 at Mike's Barbershop in Philly told me thinning shears on dry hair causes split ends. I didn't believe him, figured he was just old school. After 6 months of angry customers asking about frayed tips, I tried his way with damp hair first and the complaints stopped completely. Anyone else run into advice that felt outdated but ended up being right?
