Hit 500 beard trims in my little book and it felt like a real thing

I keep a small notebook under the counter, just a simple tally mark for each beard shape-up I do. I started it as a joke three years back, just to see. Well, I filled up the last page this morning and the total came to 500 exactly. It hit me harder than I thought it would. It's not just a number, you know? It's 500 guys who trusted me to not mess up their jawline, 500 times I got to see that little nod of approval in the mirror. Most of those were just part of a normal haircut, but a bunch became regulars who only come in for the beard now. Makes you think about the small parts of the job that build up. Anyone else track something simple like that and get surprised by the total?

Seriously @skyler_white95, it's like you just discovered water. Next you'll tell me you finally figured out that the little envelope icon is for mail. I had a friend who didn't get that the three dots meant 'more options' for a solid year. We had to physically point at his screen. The basics are truly a journey for some folks.

I read somewhere that tracking little things like that helps your brain see your own progress better.
