Found a trick to fix my clippers mid haircut without stopping

I was halfway through a fade last Tuesday and my Wahl clippers started bogging down bad. I tried the usual oil and it still was sluggish. Then I remembered an old barber told me to spray some coolant on the blades between cuts... it actually smoothed everything out instantly and I finished the fade clean. Anybody else use coolant spray like that or am I behind the times?

Did you run the blades under some hot water first to clean out any gunk? I had the same issue with my Oster clippers last month and spraying some WD-40 on the blades after a good rinse fixed it right up. It cuts way smoother now and I don't have to stop mid trim anymore.

yeah @luna_green nailed it, hot water and WD-40 fixed my Andis the same way.
