Warning: My baking improved after I stopped reserving a special kitchen zone for it.

Integrating my tools into the general flow of the kitchen forced me to be more intentional and actually sped up my process.

Experiment by placing your stand mixer on the counter permanently instead of in a cabinet. This visibility reminds you to bake more often and integrates it into daily meal prep, like using the paddle attachment to mash potatoes for dinner. You start seeing tools for their functions rather than their labels, such as using a paring knife to score bread dough or a liquid measuring cup for dry ingredients in a pinch. This blurring of boundaries reduces the mental barrier between 'baking mode' and 'cooking mode', making the entire kitchen feel more fluid and adaptable. Has this integration led you to discover any unconventional uses for your tools?

Totally agree. I use my immersion blender to chop veggies for salsa instead of dragging out the food processor.

Try keeping your immersion blender on the counter like @the_willow mentioned. You'll start using it for more than just salsa, such as emulsifying dressings or blending sauces right in the pan. That visibility truly breaks down the mental barrier between specialized tasks.
